As awesome as the first generation was, it was odd that the fossils in those games didn't turn into dinosaurs, which is exactly what these Diamond/Pearl fossils do. On the other hand, there are already plenty of existing dinosaur-like Pokémon; hell, the first Pokémon is named BulbaSAUR.

New ImPokédex - Cranidos
