Grasshopper Part 1

I've had a makeshift art studio set up in my room for about a month, but I haven't done anything with it yet. Today I decided to finally put it to use and start working on a rather large (30" x 22") piece, featuring that grasshopper I took a bunch of pictures of last week. This is an initial sketch, using vine charcoal. You will probably see this drawing more on BTI as it progresses; considering all the time I plan on putting into it, I'd say it deserves to count as a few updates.
