New ImPokédex - Mantine

After all those MS Paint drawings, these normal ones look blurry and horrible in comparison. Anyway, here's the next ImPokédex entry. I didn't realize that Remoraid looked like a gun back then, so I didn't subsequently realize that Mantine was holding a gun. A fish gun.

By the way, expect about 14 more of those MS Paint drawings in the near future.

Jay And Not Silent Bob

Here's drawing #6 of the Saturday night MS Paint series (not the official name), Jay from so many Kevin Smith movies and those few episodes of Degrassi.

MS Paint, The TF2 Collection

Here's the next installation of my MS Paint bender from last night. These two drawings are Team Fortress 2 related, and feature two of my favorite classes.
The first one is of everyone's favorite black Scottish cyclops. Well, black Russian Scottish cyclops, the Demoman. There are definitely more ****************** than there are the likes of him.
After I showed some people that first drawing, I got into a conversation about the identity of the Pyro. I said something about him/her being a godless killing machine, so then we eventually jumped to the conclusion that the Pyro is a bear. Prove me wrong, Valve.

The Drawing Parade Continues

MSPaint drawings are like Creme Eggs. You don't even consider rationing them out until you're almost out of them; that's why I'm posting three today. This one is of Canadian quarterback and cereal mogul Doug Flutie.

Angry Mario

I was drawing Mario, when I realized that he kinda looked like Clint Eastwood. Since I saw Gran Turino recently, I decided to just make him needlessly angry in this drawing. I wish I knew what the racial slur for mushroom people was.

I have way too many of these drawings queued up, but you'll find that out yourselves throughout the course of the next few days.

MSPaint Sagat

I'll be honest, this drawing of Street Fighter's Sagat isn't actually done in MSPaint, but I used the most primitive brush Photoshop Elements has to offer.

Burn The Bulbasaur

A week or so ago @CHUDbaby requested that I draw Charmander accidentally lighting Bulbasaur on fire, so here it is. Right now my request queue is empty, so feel free to add one to it, by either replying here or making a tweet with a #BTIdraw tag on it.

I'm In A Rut

I didn't really have any plan regarding what to draw today, and just started scribbling random crap. There may be another drawing later today, should I feel more inspired.

New ImPokédex - Delibird

Delibird is a pretty bad Santa; not as bad as Futurama's robot Santa, but definitely worse than Tim Allen or Jack Skellington.

No, Not THAT Balrog...

I got tired of waiting for Cave Story to be available for WiiWare, so yesterday I got my Wii's classic controller working on the computer and started up a new game of Cave Story. I've played through it a couple times, but there are still several weapons I haven't gotten yet.

Pokémon Mystery Sweatshop

Today's drawing came from a theory Pur had about the Pokémon daycare and how that old couple gets them to level up. It's a pretty startling read, and can be seen on her blog.

A Year Of Burning

On June 23rd 2008, I started this blog as a reason to draw every day. A whole year has passed, and the thing's been a success; I've made hundreds of drawings, seen 254 Impostor Minineko Pokémon, and been featured in Joystiq's Weekly Webcomic Wrapup 7 times (and only placed last thrice). Today's drawing is a compilation of a whole bunch of stuff that I've drawn over the course of the last year. It's packed with so many things that I can't fit all of the relevant tags for this post! Thanks to all of you visitors - maybe I should reconsider my position in regards to setting the Internet on fire after all...

Here Comes Elvis

Here's a drawing of Elvis, singing his hit song "Oh Yeah I'm The King Oh Yeah".

Happy Dad's Day!

Channel 5's Pierre wishes your dad a happy father's day. I sent this to my dad earlier today - feel free to do the same if you want to confuse yours too. Keep your meat ice cold, dad!

Mike Tyson At 100

I was just saying that I hope Mike Tyson lives to be 100, because I'm really curious about how he'll look. Somehow, unsilentwill baited me into an MS Paint-off to draw what he'd look like. His drawing, which is at least as awesome, can be seen here.

Killer7 vs. TF2 Sketch

I'm working on another wallpaper, which is an epic battle between all the classes in Team Fortress 2 and all the Smith personalities Killer7. This is a rough draft; an actual better-drawn gigantic version will be available in the future. I tried to pair the characters on the two sides based on their weapons, but since TF2 has an extra guy, the Heavy is left alone shouting like a maniac. Maybe I'll throw in Samantha or Susie on the other side to even it out.

Chell Shoots Herself In The Foot

This drawing started out as a Portal drawing, and ended up being another excuse to use one of my favorite onomatopœias.

Super Rez Land

I was playing Rez HD yesterday. I had unlocked everything in the Dreamcast version, and am trying to do the same again, which means lots of direct attacks. After playing Rez for that long, I've noticed things about them, such as how similar its level arrangement is to the Game Boy classic Super Mario Land's. Much like Rez, the architecture of Super Mario Land's levels is based on a myriad of ancient cultures. I compiled the below chart of said cultures for your consideration.

LevelRezSML
1EgyptEgypt
2IndiaAtlantis(?)
3MesopotamiaEaster Island
4ChinaChina

Both of them even start at Egypt and end at China - all that Super Mario Land needs is a mind-blowing epilogue level that explains the origins of life on Earth.

Talking About China

I was playing Risk yesterday, when I made the above revelation. I also realized that it's actually Kamchatka that Palin can see from her house.

Another Comic - Prince Of Amnesia

This comic was written by The Tanooki's Rhody (aka Roto13), and recalls a simpler time, before the rigged elections and Spartan massacres, when Persia's biggest concern was their time-traveling prince who told really confusing stories. Full comic after the jump.

Impostor Minineko Doodle

I was working on a new background for my Twitter page, but got distracted and instead drew Impostor Minineko with tiny little wings.

New ImPokédex - Remoraid

This has always been one of the more confusing evolutions to me. I'd like to see Darwin explain how a suckerfish turns into an Octorok.

I Changed My Pattern, Did You Notice?

I learned some new Photoshopping tricks today, including how to make my own patterns that I can use with the fill tool. The first pattern I made is just a bunch of dots (going for a sort of comic book effect). Today's drawing is of KAEDE Smith from Killer7, the sniper/cutter of the group.

Here Come The Drums

I got the Rock Band 2 drum kit yesterday, and it's pretty awesome. I couldn't give less of a care about the wireless feature, but the pads are much quieter. I had the set from the first game, and had to put felt and foam rubber on the pads so I could actually hear the music past them. As a result, I needed to hit the drums that much harder for them to work, so it was a fun project but not very effective.

One Minute Coco

I'm watching the Tonight Show right now, and was distracted by it a few times while drawing this, so it's more of a 40 second drawing. I wonder if Conan's legit bothered by the new nickname.

Talking Cigarettes!

I haven't played much as a spy in Team Fortress 2 yet; I'm far too busy setting them all on fire.

Another Krusty

I drew a second Krusty the Clown shortly after the last one, and it turned out so awesome that I decided to make it today's drawing. I discovered a some new brushes in Photoshop, and some are even tilt-sensitive! Expect to see those being exploited in later drawings.

Senior Krusty

I was just watching The Simpsons, and did a sketch of a really disheveled Krusty The Klown, and decided to just post it as is.

New ImPokédex - Corsola

Corsola doesn't have angryeyes because it is pretty much a petrified Chansey... with a whole bunch of crosses sticking out of it.

I'm Going For A Walk

The PokéWalker has been confirmed to exist, and will work with the upcoming Gold/Silver remakes. You can transfer any Pokémon to it, and walk around to level it up. I did the above drawing for Zeo, in which I reported the same thing, but check the site out anyway.

Bison Is Displeased

M. Bison is one of my favorite Street Fighter characters. Not so much because of the video game but because of all the awesomely horrible quotes he has in the American cartoon and the movie. In today's drawing he is trying to enjoy a lollipop.

Saturday, June 6, 2009

New ImPokédex - Swinub

I'm fairly convinced that Swinub's design was taken from The Price Is Right's shell game; either that, or it's a sleepy Diglett with cornrows.

Most Definitely The President

Today's drawing is of the president from Super Milk Chan, except with actual fingers for some reason. The picture in the background is another one from that St. Patrick's Day parade in Hawaii.

New ImPokédex - Slugma

Looks like I got it right this time - I just feel bad for all the kids who see these Pokémon and think you can turn a slug into a snail by putting a shell on top of it.

I Messed Up Again

I think I need to get some sleep. Being up this late, I figured that I should make myself useful and work on the next entry of the ImPokédex, Slugma, but I screwed it up somehow. I'll try it again in the morning.

Death From Above!

At the Nintendo E3 press conference they announced about 9 different Mario games, including New Super Mario Bros Wii. In addition to 4-player co-op, there is a new suit, the propeller suit. A flying power-up is exactly what the first NSMB was missing, and I'm glad to see it in the sequel. Oh, also you can play as Toad.

Left 5 Dead

Yep, it's another crappy drawing of a new video game character - this time it's the guy from Left 4 Dead 2 that looks like an even angrier Uncle Phil. I can't seem to draw any type of machinery, let alone chainsaws.

McJoker

I was going through my old BTI posts just now, and noticed that last August I made reference to a drawing of Ronald McDonald with the Joker's mouthscars, but I never posted it. I figured that I should do so now; don't worry, this doesn't count as my drawing for the day.

I wish you all a happy June!
