Carpet Gorilla

Sometimes I see patterns in carpets that look like things. Today I saw one that looked like that gorilla head on the left. Later, I drew the angrier gorilla on the right.

New ImPokédex - Pineco

It looks like Impostor Forretress is just a red cat in a plastic bag... with guns coming out the side of its head. Alright, maybe it doesn't look that horrible after all.

Rainn Wilson Made Me Draw Corn

It's been pretty tough to get a drawing done every day lately, and I've only got an hour left to make this one, so I checked Twitter, and Rainn Wilson made a lot of tweets about corn, so I decided to just draw a some corn. You think if anything he'd make me draw a lot of beets.

My Guitaring Problem

As a prize for that Guitar Hero tournament I won this weekend, I got this acoustic guitar. So now I have two acoustic guitars and don't know how to play either of them. I thought that having two would motivate me to finally learn how to play guitar, but just now it occurred to me; if I have two, people might just assume that I know how to play. I guess I really should learn how to play them - there are starving kids in Ethiopia who don't have any guitars to play at all.

Robber Barons and Cats

Fulfilling another request. Even though the robber baron ended up looking like a fat pimp, I very much like this drawing - robber barons have pretty awesome hats and facial hair, and cats are just plain neat.

Impostor Ryu

I had a request to do Impostor Minineko versions of various video game characters, including Ryu from Street Fighter. I'm still kinda burned out from Unown Day, so I took some liberties with the theme. This is a re-creation of the end of Street Fighter IV, in which Gouken and Akuma fight over Ryu.

Clive Winston FTW

I won a Guitar Hero tournament today - there were only two people in it and I won by 200,000 points, but I'm still chalking it up in the "W" column. It was played in GH2, in which I usually use Judy Nails w/snakes outfit, but this time I played as my brother-in-sideburns Clive Winston. To celebrate my trivial victory, this I decided to draw him today.

Left-Handed Impostor Minineko

Recently I discovered Left-Handed Toons, and thought it'd be a good excuse for me to draw Impostor Minineko again, except left-handedly.

I've got a much better drawing planned for tomorrow, don't worry.

New ImPokédex - Girafarig

Girafarig looks like a giraffe with the frame of a pony, the spikes of a dragon, and a Chain Chomp (which is based on a dog) for a tail. It's part normal-type, but there's nothing normal about it.

BTI Delivers... Sorta

I got a couple requests already from the post yesterday, the first one being for L from Death Note. I've never seen the anime, but started the drawing anyway after a quick GIS. At first, I thought "hey, his name is L, I'm gonna draw him with Luigi's hat!", but then I got another idea.

Yeah, this request thing may be a bit of a monkey's paw.

Drawing A Blank

I started BTI in order to keep myself drawing every day, but somehow it ended up being more or less a compilation of hastily-drawn Mario fanart. I want to draw other things, but lately just can't think up interesting stuff. Last week I started taking requests, and would like to continue doing so, as to keep a bucket of ideas I can dig through at any time. New ImPokédex - Wobbuffet

We now return to entries with sensible numbers of forms, meaning for better or worse, you'll be seeing them a lot more often. I imagine that if any of the Impostor Pokémon got hit, they'd shake back and forth like Wobbuffet does in Smash Bros.

Nick Bruiser Is Disappoint

I finally beat Super Punch-Out!! yesterday. I was never too fond of the Mr. Clean twins that are the final bosses (aka Rick and Nick Bruiser); hopefully the last guy in the Wii version will be better. Maybe Little Mac could fight Donkey Kong - that would be awesome.

Velociraptor Awareness Day

I didn't find out that it was Velociraptor Awareness Day today until a few hours ago. This could've been a costly mistake, but I got lucky this time and haven't been eaten by one yet. CONSTANT VIGILANCE!

No More Lyrics

I checked Google today to see if anyone figured out the lyrics to Bad Girl's theme from No More Heroes "Pleather For Breakfast" yet, and on the first page of results was a tweet I made last month about the issue. I guess that unless they release the song for Rock Band or if I run into Masafume Takada on the street, I'm never going to find out what the f they're saying in it.

Also, it dawned on me, if they ever made a No More Heroes movie, Bad Girl would have to be played by Kaitlin Olson (aka Sweet Dee from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia).

Fail Whale Fail

I've been encountering that damn whale on Twitter so often, that I can't help but wonder what that scenario looks like after Twitter's been fixed. The drawing turned out crappier than I had hoped; I've had a vector program for about a year but I can't be bothered to learn how to use it.

New AIM Icon

I've been meaning to get a new AIM icon, since I've been using a picture of the Pop-and-Lock Ness Monster (site rather NSFW) for quite a while now. I made a drawing of that bee robot that I used for those animations a little bit ago, and thought I'd post it here, so people could see it at a resolution higher than 49x49.

Samus, Friend To The Animals

The drawing was originally going to be Samus and Impostor Pikachu, but then I tried to throw in an Impostor Metroid, and it looked horrible, and not the typical horrible that I've become accustomed to. So now they're just sickeningly adorable.

Mario Is Excited

I had Photoshop open while watching the Colbert Report, and just started sketching drawing random stuff, and by random stuff, I mean Mario.

A Hundred More Minutes

Today's drawing is of E. Honda trying to get back to sleep. I had hit the snooze for an hour today, and spent about another hour drawing this, so my morning is going rather slowly.

The Nightman Cometh

Another drawing I've been meaning to do for a while is Nightman, from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Now I can say that I have done so.

Thwomp'd

Thwomps are covered in spikes and anger.

Thwomps can move in one direction, and the opposite of that direction at a slower pace.

Thwomps aim for where Mario is, not where he's going to be.

Thwomps are invincible except for when they're not, like in Mario 3 sometimes.

Thwomps, as mentioned previously, can be killed by 2 out of 3 special suits in Mario 3. Ironically, the frog suit couldn't harm a fly.

Thinking Of Tacos, Now That's Progressive

I keep a folder of sketches I've been meaning to turn into actual drawings, and recently I have been actually going through it to finish them. Today's drawing, which was taken from said pile, is of Flo from those Progressive commercials. Next time you see one of those commercials, keep in mind that she was also the voice of Joy Peters in Tom Goes To The Mayor.

Alien Hominid HD Is Hard As Butt

I finally got around to downloading Alien Hominid HD, since it's only 400 MS points this week. I've made it to the beginning of level 1-3 on my first try, though that does mean that by then I died about 30 times. That alone is more than worth the $5, but it also includes an awesome PDA minigame, which is pretty much Johnny Platform's Biscuit Romp with Flash art (or rather, turns out Johnny Platform is PDA mode with pixel art).

The Sky Is Falling

It seems Pyoro is going to be one of the DSiWare launch titles, under the name "Bird & Beans" - I don't know why they felt the name change to be necessary, Tetris wasn't called "Falling Blocks" but it still sold millions. Either way, it's an awesome game, and if you're getting a DSi this weekend, spend the damn 200 points on it.

Just Kidding, I Hope

As you should have known, yesterday was Make Up Crap On The Internet Day, and I have no plan of using Impostor Impostor Minineko in any future things, even though I've said that before *discreetly points to the left*.

Oh, and the ImPokédex's Unown Day is coming. I just don't know when I'm going to find the time.

New ImImPokédex - Squirtle

I'm starting to question whether Wartortle's ears are ears at all; maybe it's just a big Tekken fan with a fancy tail.

New ImImPokédex - Charmander

They keep saying that if a Charmander's tail flame goes out, it dies, but what if you cut off its tail while the flame is still intact?

New ImImPokédex - Bulbasaur

Replacing the site's mascot means I have to end the Impostor Minineko Pokédex, but in its place, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the Impostor Impostor Minineko Pokédex is just beginning.

Today's entry is Bulbasaur and family. Choosing the flower lizard turns Pokémon Red/Blue into easy mode at first, but you had to eventually get rid of it, because every legendary Pokémon was either psychic or flying, and who among us didn't have 3 or 4 of those guys in their lineup back in the day?

The New Face Of Burn The Internet

I can't do it any more. I dunno, I just got tired of drawing that damn Impostor Minineko. I thought drawing some messed up, simplified version of a cat that I had been drawing for years would be fun, but I now realize how very much I hate it and hate myself for going on with this façade for so long.

It is with this in mind that I introduce my newest character, Impostor Impostor Minineko.
